This article looks at professional development by blog and wiki. Sound familiar? The blogs as we well know, ours included, are out there right now with some pretty useful information about teaching and learning. The line that caught me was one we have read a could times in posts these past couple days, "I don't have the time to visit a dozen Web sites every day to read articles—I've got plans to write, papers to grade, parents to call, and a family to raise!" Yep, we do. The article also has some description about RSS feeds and Google reader.
This site is a wonderful place to visit. It is a Ning site and we will be looking at those in week four. This one not only has some great forums for discussion, but it also has some pretty great webcasts. From YouTubed keynote speakers at conferences to online journals, the land of blogs and wikis and video can have some good information.
