New Media & New Learning Places/Spaces

iPods and podcasts, YouTube in the office, Webinars for work, or an audio clip for class. Things have changed. There is much talk about mobile learning these days. Strange as it is, the days of the big desktop computer are numbered. I know that sounds silly. I mean, geez, they only just arrived on the scene. But perhaps that is just how they will leave. Quickly.

It just seems impossible. But so did the whole idea of a personal computer just 15 years ago. 15 years!

The look and capabilities of the iPhone is what is coming next. Small screens and all the problems that go with them. Maybe a blend between the iPhone and the netbook. Will it still fit in your pocket? Does it need to?

Alisa Cooper is an English instructor down with the Maricopa colleges in Phoenix. I have long been a fan of hers and she is so often ahead of the game. Below is her most recent video used to introduce a workshop she is teaching on mobile learning. Good for her.
